Appendix Horses for Sale (166)
Appendix horse is the result of a breed between a fully-registered Quarter Horse and a registered Thoroughbred. Over the years, crossbreeding created more refined and strong horses. These horses are allowed to participate in the Quarter horse events. An appendix horse is fairly simple to train. Sometimes these horses have a bad temper but most of the time they are warm-blooded. They stand about 15.2 – 17 hands high and weight 1100 – 1200 lbs. (500 – 545 kg). Their legs are long and the hips are not round and have a slope. Appendix horses have impressive hooves that deal with significant body weight. These equines can be used for barrel racing, jumping, and general riding. They make good show, pleasure, and farm horses. Since Appendix Quarter horses are a mix, their general physical features may vary and so can the colors. The most popular colors are bay, gray, chestnut, and black. A good variety of Appendix horses for sale can be found in this section.
