Canadian Horses for Sale (85)
Canadian horses are considered Canadian national treasure. They are resilient to harsh conditions. These horses were initially bred in France, but in the 19th century, were sent to North America. These are tough animals that can survive cold winters. Canadian horses were used to improve other breeds thanks to their incredible strength and stamina. Since they were primarily used as farm animals, the coming of modern technology influenced their numbers. Right now, they are labeled a rare breed even though the Canadian Horse Breeders Association is helping keep the numbers up. These horses are about 14 – 16 hands high and weigh about 450 – 550 kg. They have short heads, thin ears, arched neck, broad chest, strong back, thick manes, and strong legs with massive feet. Canadian equines are intelligent and friendly. They are easy to train and are currently used as riding and show horses. Several Canadian horses are available for sale in this section.
