For most of my life it seems no matter what I do or where I go, there have always been horses invloved. And from the first time as a gangly kid when someone told me to "get on that pony & ride", I was hooked.

Every horse I've ever met has taught me something. Some of those lessons have been tough to take, while others have been hard to understand. I strive to use what I've learned from all of these teachers in my everyday life.

So here I am nearly 40 years later, still hooked on horses ... and still learning!

Some of my professional qualifications:

• Over 30 years in conmmercial transportation; from heavy equipment hauling & horse transport to administrative & advisory positions. I've run quite literally to the shores of every ocean that touches North America, and most everywhere in between.
• 12 years as a Commercial Driver Instructor. I am qualified to teach over 20 various professional driving programs from GLP to Class 1, & specialised trailering courses on up to theory, Dangerous Goods, Air brakes & Professional Driver Improvement (High-Performance Driving Techniques) & the new Certified Livestock Transporters course recently introducded in Canada.
• Qualified as a Drug & Alcohol Program administrator for fleets
• ICBC-Certified Road Test Assessor
• Level I - Incident Investigation
• St John's Ambulance - Industrial, with Transport & Crisis Management certifications
• In the past I have voluneteered time & hauling to the Otter 4-H Horse Club, Langley Riders, SPCA, Zajac Ranch for Children, PRDA & many other worthy causes.
• I have published articles in over 15 trade & specific-interest magazines such as Saddle Up, Pro-Trucker, Mother Earth & The Langley Advance
• Samples of my photograhps have been featured in various galleries, and displayed in places such as the Parks Department office of the City of Kelowna, City Hall of Yellowknife, NWT & the former Premier of BC, Mr. Bill Bennett's home, to name a few.
